The challenge

Hermes is the UK's second largest parcel delivery company, processing around 300 million parcels every year. To scale, Hermes needed a flexible platform supporting their geographically dispersed Field Managers, each responsible for up to 100 couriers and the recruitment of new ones in their area. Three capabilities were essential: an offline-capable mobile app, an easily integrated recruitment page and a reporting tool to track courier performance.

Our solution

After selecting Salesforce, Hermes engaged RocketCX to design and deliver the solution. Using the Salesforce Platform we rapidly produced a working prototype on Sales Cloud. The mobile app means managers can carry out every task on the road, with intermittent connectivity no longer an obstacle. From an iPad or Android tablet, a Field Manager can review courier applications, convert successful candidates into couriers and track ongoing progress.

The outcome

Salesforce integrates directly with the Hermes parcel processing system, pulling performance metrics for every courier. Field Managers now conduct informed reviews in person, with live report data displayed on the mobile app during the conversation, driving sharper performance management across the courier network.
